Oliva Dolce sits on the no-mans-land section of Goldhawk Road (not Bush, not Chiswick, Askew Road is the ‘nice’ bit). They’re a takeaway pizza place which shares premises with a Chinese takeaway place (though from appearances the two are run separately but amicably).
They have a £7.95 collection only, any-pizza deal. I got a 13″ Manzo, substituting jalapenos for mushrooms. The pizza comes with ham, prosciutto, pepperoni, and jalapenos, and smelt so good I almost downed half of it in the street walking home. Full of flavour and much fresher tasting than other pizza joints in the area. The crust was thin and chewy, crisp and not greasy at all.
Would I pay full price for delivery? Yes. Compared to other deals in the area, they sit nicely between super-expensive super shitty Hell’s Pizza, and Domino’s with their £9.95 collection deal, and the £6-7 very dodgy pizza come chicken shops, wares loaded with inches of ‘I can’t believe this is mozzarella’ and oozing more grease than the chicken wings themselves. Quality and taste wise they beat them all.
My new “Very Lazy- Very Hungry” day food-choice.
Only downside – their website
is rubbish… You have to put in a complete post-code before looking at the menu and half the pizzas have no description next to them.
